Con la iniciativa de llevar un beneficio a su comunidad, la iglesia Semillas del Rey en Santa Rita de Orotina nos solicito el apoyo para realizar dicha actividad. El pasado sábado movilizamos un equipo de 40 voluntarios y desarrollamos un programa que dividimos en dos partes, en la mañana el bloque infantil, al cual también asistieron niños de otras comunidades y en la tarde el bloque juvenil, donde contamos con la presencia de diferentes grupos de jóvenes que venían de otros lugares como parrita, Quepos y el centro de Orotina, a todas estas delegaciones se les sumo la comunidad de Santa Rita, teniendo como resultado una buena cantidad de personas, las cuales disfrutaron de juegos, competencias, títeres, torneo de futbol, rally de obstáculos, comida, teatro, mimo, concierto y mucho mas…

Fuimos participes de un gran evento que nos mostro que trabajar en unidad es posible, pastores y congregaciones de diferentes lugares, unidos por el ferviente anhelo de servir y cumplir con la misión que Dios nos ha encomendado. We participate in a great event that showed us that working in unity is possible, pastors and congregations of different places, united by a fervent desire to serve and fulfill the mission that God has given us. In association with Hinsdale Hospital in Chicago and under the national professional support of Dr. Carlos Ramirez and Dr. Maria José Aguilar, conducted two medical expeditions a year, once in January and one in June. With a team of 65 volunteers each day we travel to different communities for a week, offering specialized care for free. Gynecologists, orthopedists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, pediatricians, physical therapists, dentists, general practitioners, more than a dozen nurses and several medical students are some of the volunteers who accompany us on every issue. It’s an incredible boon to disadvantaged communities and for people who have no social security or they just have to wait many years for a consultation with a specialist. In every place where we develop the show is also carried out a children’s recreation throughout the day, over a construction project simultaneously. El 26 de febrero recibimos la visita de un grupo de Birmingham, Alabama, estuvimos desarrollando varios proyectos en la comunidad de San Vicente de Tres Ríos, los hombres estuvieron construyendo un cuarto adicional para la casa de una familia de escasos recursos económicos, los cuales vivían 6 personas hacinadas en dos cuartitos, gracias a Dios y al rápido trabajo realizado se extendió la labor, ya que también se les logro construir un salón grande donde ellos lograron ubicar la cocina, el baño y el comedor. Por otro lado las mujeres del grupo y los niños se encargaron de embellecer el censinai de la comunidad pintando sus paredes. Muchas gracias a Michael O’Neill y a su esposa Summer por ser el contacto para realizar juntos este tipo de actividades con las cuales podemos llevar el evangelio del Señor por medio de nuestra ayuda.On February 26th we received a group from Birmingham, Alabama. We were developing several projects in the community of San Vicente de Tres Rios, the men were constructing an additional room in a house of a family with limited economic resources. This family had 6 people living in two small rooms. Thanks to God and the fast work carried out we were able to also build an extra room where they managed to locate the kitchen, the bath and the dining room. On the other hand the women of the group and the children were in charge to embellish CENCINAI (a small health center) of the community painting their walls. Thank you very much to Michael O’Neill and his wife Summer for being the critical contact. Thanks to them we were able to carry the project which also helps to spread the Gospel through our work.

Uniéndonos a un grupo de voluntarios de la Iglesia Comunidad del Este, visitamos la zona afectada por el fatal terremoto en los pasados días. Nos dividimos en tres equipos de trabajo, el primero se enfocó en la demolición y limpieza de escombros, el segundo se desplazo casa por casa para conversar con las familias y tratar de motivarlos en estos momentos de angustia, tuvieron buenos resultados ya que muchas personas estaban deseosas de ser escuchadas. El último equipo se concentró en el albergue, donde se realizo una actividad recreativa para todos los niños y algunos jóvenes que se encontraban allí. Gracias a Dios logramos aportar un grano de arena en ésta interminable tarea. Agradecemos a los voluntarios y en especial a la señora Marianela Jiménez, propietaria de Atracciones Saltarín, quien nos presto un castillo inflable con el cual llevamos alegría y diversión a tantos pequeños.Together with a group of volunteers from Comunidad del Este, we visited the zone hit by the fatal January 8 earthquake. We had three different work groups, the first one worked on demolition and rubble clean up. The second team went door by door to talk to families and motivate them as they undergo hard moments, many people wanted to be heard. The last group stayed at the shelter where they organized recreational activities for the children and the teenagers. Thank God we were able to offer a helping hand. We thank the volunteers, especially Mrs. Marianella Jiménez, owner of Atracciones saltarín, who offered an inflatable castle for free, many kids had a chance to spend a happy and recreational day.

Otro programa que realizamos con el apoyo del staff del Campamento La Cumbre y el equipo de Tennessee. En esta comunidad la fiesta de la pasada navidad la realizamos en un salón comunal muy pequeño, lo que impidió que lleváramos algunos de los juegos y atracciones. Por esto hablamos con la escuela para que nos prestaran las instalaciones y lograr realizar una recreación completa, ya que les habíamos quedado debiendo a todos estos niños. Sabemos que en estas zonas la gran mayoría de infantes no tienen la posibilidad de pasear en sus vacaciones, así que nuestra visita les quedo de maravilla. Alrededor de 100 niños asistieron y disfrutaron de una mañana de diversión. El desempeño de los voluntarios de Tennessee fue excelente. Agradecemos a Ana Mora y Adela Mora, quienes participaron por segunda vez en uno de nuestros proyectos.The last Christmas party we held in Tres Rios took place in a very small community room that hindered us from playing certain games and having as much fun. This year we asked a local school to let us borrow their facilities for the “maximum effect” for the children. We knew that the majority of the children in this area didn’t have the resources to travel or take vacations so this activity was a dream come true for many. We accomplished this endeavor with the help of the La Cumbre staff and the Tennessee volunteers. The Tennessee work crew volunteers did an excellent job. We would like to thank Ana Mora and Adela Mora who participated for the second time on one of our projects.

Una vez más los organizadores de este evento, los señores Jorge Céspedes y Jafet Baltodano nos dieron la oportunidad de recaudar fondos para las fiestas navideñas a través de la venta de comida. Esta vez tuvimos más participación dentro de la organización ya que además de la comida tuvimos que manejar el sonido, coordinar el cierre de la actividad con fuegos artificiales y colaborar con la ubicación y seguridad de la zona de camping. Agradecemos a todos los que compraron nuestros productos, ya que lo recaudado nos ayudo para realizar las fiestas para 3000 niños de escasos recursos. Agradecemos a Imperio Anime por su compromiso con la sociedad costarricense, en especial con los niños; el que nos brinden este espacio para recaudar fondos es una muestra de su buen corazón y de su interés en seguir invirtiendo en nuestros proyectos.

This time we had a chance to get more involved in the organization of the event as we were in charge of the sound too, coordinated the fireworks show to close the event and offer our security and logistics support at the camping area. We want to thank those who bought our products, our profits helped us organize Christmas parties for over 3000 poor kids. We want to express Imperio Anime for their commitment to Costa Rican society and especially the children of our country. Que mejor forma de iniciar esta temporada navideña, que participar en esta fiesta la cual fue dirigida por la señora Gretell Montero, ella ha seguido muy de cerca el proceso que estos niñosestán viviendo con su enfermedad. El apoyo no tardo en llegar, muchas empresas colaboraron, inclusive el Cuerpo de Bomberos participo permitiendo que los niños conocieran las unidades y hasta les dieron un recorrido alrededor del lugar de la fiesta, los pequeños disfrutaron mucho de esta experiencia. También grupos de motociclistas como los M14 y los Comanches realizaron su aporte, no solo cumpliendo el sueño de muchos de estos niños al poder subirse a estas motos, sino que además, aportaron regalos. Gracias a Dios todos los niños pudieron sentir una muestra de amor a través de nuestro trabajo. Felicitamos a Gretell por esta iniciativa que no solo se quedo aquí, sino que se movilizó a Limon para realizarle la fiesta a los niños de esa zona.Grettel Montero organized a party for kids in terminal condition, during the year she follows the condition of all the children closely. Support for this party arrived quickly, many companies offered a helping hand, even the Fire Department offered some fire engines for the kids to get a ride around the facility where the party was taking place, every kid enjoyed the experience intensely. Two groups of motorcycle riders, M14 and Los Comanches offered motorcycle rides and presents for the kids. Every kid experienced love through our combined efforts. We want to congratulate Grettell for her work that went beyond San Jose to Limón to offer a second party for kids in that area as well.

Esta fue la última reunión del año, ya que a partir de aquí, nos concentramos en las fiestas navideñas. Esta vez nuestros amigos del Campamento La Cumbre, dirigieron la actividad, contamos con una buena asistencia, la cual disfruto de un tiempo de alabanza, una enseñanza por el Msc. Rogelio Morales y una presentación de las facilidades del campamento de aventura extrema La Cumbre. Este espacio ha sido prefecto para estrechar amistades entre diferentes organizaciones y sabemos que seguirá creciendo.This was the last meeting of the year. Besides this we also concentrated on the Christmas parties. This time our friends from Campamento La Cumbre directed the activities. We sang with great presence, enjoying the time of praise, a lesson by Rogelio Morales and a presentation about the facilities of the camp and extreme adventures La Cumbre. This space has been perfect to build friendships in different organizations and we know that it will continue to grow.

Damos gracias a Dios por la oportunidad que tuvimos de visitar a nuestros amigos en diferentes ciudades de los Estados Unidos. Nuevos contactos compartir en varias congregaciones, grupos interesados en visitarnos fueron algunos de los objetivos alcanzados, lo mas importante fue ver la gracia de Dios actuando en cada lugar a traves de cada persona. Mil gracias a todos nuestros amigo y hermanos Estadounidenses.We want to say “Thanks”. Everything was wonderful. It is great to see the body of Christ working around the world. Our amazing time in the US was a big Blessing for us. We hope our friendship keeps growing every day. We miss everybody and we hope to see you soon.

Cada año celebramos este día nacional con una recreación para cientos de niños. Esta vez las escuelas favorecidas fueron la escuela Santa Teresita de Aserri y el Kinder de la Carpio. El martes 9 compartimos con 400 niños en Aserri y la fiesta se desarrollo en el estadio ST Center y el miércoles 10 realizamos la recreación en la Carpio, para 260 pequeños de Kinder. Fueron dos días de arduo trabajo, Dios nos bendijo con un buen sol y las lluvias no se hicieron presentes, por lo que los niños pudieron disfrutar de un tiempo de juegos, concursos, alegría y de un clima caluroso; así como también lograron sentir el amor de Dios, a través de nuestras acciones. Damos gracias a Dunia Iturralde, Yuri Prada, Silenia Díaz, Gustavo Solis y Erick Arroyo por su apoyo e inagotable dispocision y amor para estos niños.Each year we celebrate this national day with recreation for hundreds of kids. This time we held our parties at Aserri’s Santa Teresita Elementary School at the ST Center Stadium for 400 kids and at Carpio Elementary School for 250 kindergarten kids. It was two days of hard work and God blessed us with sunny parties with competitions, contests, happiness, and warm weather. The kids also experienced the love of God through everything we did.
