Youth 51:42 Conference: Bible Study

July 13th, 2011 by Jhonny

While working with Gordon-Conwell theological Seminary youth program, Compass, from Massachusetts, we desired to teach the youth of Costa Rica about Colossians. We were able to minister to three churches for three days. In these days the compass students, paired with Conexion staff, taught about Colossians, led games, shared testimonies, and challenged the students with a helpful workbook that correlated with the Colossians study. We believe the Lord broke through the language barrier to bring His word to the people of Costa Rica. The Compass group left with many new friendships and were showered with many blessings as did the congregations from the churches

The final activity with the Gordon-Conwell Compass students consisted of teaching English to public school classes. Each class had small groups of teachers and there they learned games, songs, and useful English. Though this activity was not originally planned, with the helpful hangs of these students many doors were opened for Conexion. Compass students paved a path for further activities that Conexion will host there! Thank you so much for your flexibility and willingness to serve! Blessings!
